I have no legal training at all. But reading some of these cases I am astonished at the cavalier approach of apparently substantial firms of solicitors to even the most rudimentary matters of civil procedure, such as the timely and orderly service of witness statements and bundles. Apart from anything else I am led to wonder what level of (very expensive) service and advice many litigants seem to be paying for.
