I am speaking with Oncologist Andrew Proctor, and my colleague Helen Rutherford in Leeds on the 25th May 2017 on “Cancer, Causation and the Courts”.

 This course:

  • Gives a medical explanation of the nature of the most common types of cancer.
  • Explains the systems and procedure in the NHS for dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
  • Looks at the leading cases in relation to causation and cancer in the context of clinical negligence and industrial disease.
  • Looks at the practical steps that lawyers can take place when dealing with issues relating to cancer and causation.

To book on the course press here and press on the “register for event” button.

The course will be of interest to anyone involved in clinical negligence or personal injury litigation. It provides a view from a practising oncologist as to the causes, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.  It then looks at the way in which the courts approach issues of causation arising from the diagnosis of cancer.

ALL THE PAYMENTS FROM THE COURSE ARE BEING SENT TO MACMILLAN CANCER RELIEF
