The newest recruit to the club is Gill Edwards a Partner acting for claimants in the clinical negligence department of Potter Rees Dolan, currently working from home in Mobberley with a partner, two teenagers and a dog.

1 Where are you working from now?

I am working at a desk in the lounge trying to get work done before the teenagers stir and get onto TikTok, Snapchat, Xbox – oh and of course their online schoolwork.

2 What has been most difficult about working remotely?

Ridiculously slow fibreless Wifi (we are talking a pause after each letter is typed at its worst) and the next door neighbour practising his saxophone.

3 What has been your biggest technical challenge?

Trying to source a better Wifi/4G provider.

4 Is there anything (work wise) that you wish you had with you

Most of our paperwork was already scanned in, so the transition to working remotely has been relatively smooth from that point of view, but I miss the office banter.

5 What has been the most helpful thing you’ve learned?

That video conferencing apps work well and that the dog does love me after all.

6 Do you think this is going to change the way you work in the future?

I will definitely be suggesting that we use video calls rather than just telephone calls for expert conferences, particularly where clients are present.

7 What is the first thing you are going to do when you are out of lockdown

Meet up with friends and go up to the Lake District.
