SUBSCRIBER NEWS: SOME COMMON QUESTIONS CONSIDERED: UPGRADING MEMBERSHIP, USING MEMBERSHIP ON DIFFERENT DEVICES, CHANGING MEMBERS AND MEANS OF SUBSCRIPTION

It is eight days since CLB became a subscription site. I’m glad to say that the numbers visiting the site have not gone down and the membership system is working well.  There are a number of common questions I am being asked.

CAN I UPGRADE MY SUBSCRIPTION PACKAGE?

A strange form of buyer’s remorse – when you realise you have not bought enough.  However the answer is yes you can – and this has already happened.  Your previous payment is taken into account on a pro rata basis.

  • Individual subscribers can only upgrade from monthly subscription to annual.
  • Corporate subscribers can increase the number of seats to a higher level and their previous payment is taken into account on a pro rata basis.

CAN I USE MY MEMBERSHIP ACROSS DIFFERENT DEVICES?

Yes you can, your phone, your laptop and desktop can all use the same membership.*

CAN WE CHANGE MEMBERS IF PEOPLE LEAVE/JOIN?

Yes you can.  You have to cancel the existing member and put the new member in their place.

CAN I PAY BY INVOICE/BANK TRANSFER?

I am afraid the answer is no.  The subscription system on the site is the only means of membership.

WHAT DO I DO ONCE I RECEIVE A GROUP MEMBERSHIP?

“How to add colleagues to a Corporate Membership:
1) Go to https://www.civillitigationbrief.com and log in via the ‘My Account’ page.
2) Once logged in, click on ‘Subscriptions’ and then select ‘Sub Accounts’ next to your corporate subscription.
3) From there, you can either:
a) Manually invite colleagues using the ‘Add Sub Account’ button
b) Or (quicker method) Share your unique signup link (URL), which allows colleagues to register themselves under the account.”
Everyone who has been in touch so far has said that method (b) is easier  –  send people the URL and they can register themselves.
Once they are registered they will receive the emails directly and be able to access the site.

*This is subject to the “fair use” policy, the system detects if multiple users are using the same membership details or there is other unusual activity.
