MEMBER NEWS: RENEWALS ARE GOING THROUGH SMOOTHLY – IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS THIS MAY HELP
The renewal process has being going through smoothly for most people. There are a few issues. Her we look at renewal notices, some issues with renewal and card payments, upgrading accounts and a reminder that a Corporate Account always has a “plus one” place.
SOME PEOPLE ARE NOT SEEING THE NOTIFICATION THAT RENEWAL WILL TAKE PLACE
This will be sent seven days before the renewal date to the member, or the Administrator if this is a corporate account.
There have been a few people who have not seen this. We suspect that this is because the email is being stopped by a spam filter in some places. This is rare, but something you should be aware of.
RENEWAL NOT TAKING PLACE BECAUSE THE CARD HAS CHANGED
Membership renewals are processed using the payment method currently stored on your membership. If that card has expired or been replaced, the renewal will fail until the payment method is updated.
In these circumstances
- Log in to your account on the website.
- Go to My Account.
- Select Subscriptions (or Manage Subscription).
- Open your current subscription.
- Click Update Payment Method (or Change Payment Method).
-
Enter your new card details and save the changes.
If you have corporate membership then this should be done by the administrator.
A REMINDER: YOU CAN UPGRADE A CORPORATE ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME
If you have a corporate account you can upgrade to higher numbers at any time. The system will give full credit for existing payments on a pro rata basis.
WORKING WITH DIFFERENT NUMBERS: IF YOU WANT 35 MEMBERS YOU CAN HAVE 35
Since subscription started we have been able to offer greater flexibility on numbers on Corporate Accounts. We cannot go under 20 as a minimum but can, for instance offer 25, 30 and 35 members. Email members@civilitigationbrief.com if you want to vary the account upwards.
REMEMBER YOUR CORPORATE ACCOUNT ALWAYS HAS A “PLUS ONE”
So, for instance, an account of 20 will in fact have 21 seats. This is to allow the administrator of the account to look after membership issues.
